It's been a while!

I have not posted anything in a while since my photo upload limit had been reached and I couldn't add new photos.I figured out a way to get more on here.
We welcomed little Luke Sere on May 14, 2009 at 7 pounds, 8 ounces, 21 inches long. After a week stay in NICU he is doing great now and growing like a weed. Matthew doesn't know what to think about Luke.

Our Family Christmas Gatherings

We had our annual Christmas Eve celebration with David's family at Tricia and John's house. Sunday morning the kids were all at our house for brunch. My parents and brothers came over to check out Matthew and then we went to my Aunt Virginia's house Christmas evening. My cousin Carl and his wife Ginger came in from Houston, Texas. Ray and Mary Ellen were there too.


A nice Christmas surprise for us was finding out if Jennifer and Tim were having a boy or girl. I will post it after Jennifer does.

Welcome Baby Matthew!

Grand baby Matthew was born this afternoon at 3:04 p.m. at 6 pounds and 20 inches long. Melissa had a C-section but is doing fine. We're on Cloud 9!

Pregnancy Updates, Birthdays & Other News

First I want to announce that after almost 16 years David and I have had to close our business. Now we're both are looking for jobs. Times are tough and we could use some prayers. We know there is a plan for us. We just need patience. We're so excited about these grand babies, we don't have time to be down.

Melissa is 39 weeks today so here are all her belly pics we've taken including today. Jennifer is 18 weeks now but she will not let me take belly pics of her.
Melissa is due Thursday the 18th and they may induce her. I hope she goes into labor before then so they don't. I'm a believer that babies come when they are ready.

We will get a new ultrasound picture after Christmas and also find out if Jennifer & Tim are having Michael Luke or Joy Ann.

MELISSA'S LAST BABY SHOWER - Dec. 7

Melissa is seen holding someone's baby in all her shower photos. This one is Savannah who belongs to Melissa's best friend Rachel. This shower was given by Matt's aunt, sisters and nieces. The little girls served us and were so cute.

I'm so behind on posting pictures from our family and friend events this year so I'm backing up some.

FALL BIRTHDAYS / THANKSGIVING
Here are our fall birthday pictures. My dad was 78 on Oct. 26, David was 51 on Nov. 2, his dad was 80 on Nov. 4, and our friend Larry was 50 on the 9th - David & Larry celebrated together one evening and then Susan had a surprise party for Larry later. Philip turned 26 on Nov. 14.
There are also some fall leave photos and a picture of David & our friend Jim Cooney from New Hampshire who used to be our neighbor.

MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND

On Friday night, Memorial weekend, David and I went to dinner at Itta Beena's upstairs from BB King's with my Uncle Jack, Aunt Virginia, cousins Carl & Ray and their wives Ginger and Mary Ellen.We also went to my aunt & uncle's house on Memorial Day before we went to Susan & Larry's for the big party. My uncle was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly after and passed away in September from complications.

FISHING OUTING - May 17

David and I went fishing out in the county with Jennifer & Tim. You can see I enjoyed taking pictures of the surroundings more than fishing.

Baby Shower & Birthdays

Melissa had her second baby shower on Nov. 1 given by Jennifer and her long time friend Michelle at Michelle's house. Michelle made a cake of diapers for decoration and Jennifer made a cake to eat that was blue and white - and yummy!


David celebrated his 51st birthday twice - once on Sat. (11/01) with friends and then again on Sunday, his actual birthday with all our kids and his parents.
